Prussian Persuasion

Prussian Persuasion is a hand dyed and handwoven fully functional bench. Within the piece I created a bench by connect two smaller chairs.  The piece is constructed from hand dyed paracords. Prussian Persuasion explores the idea that a frame loom can be created from a variety of structures or frames. Within this pieece I chose to creat each seat with the same pattern and colors. My recent exploration of crating  a non-tradition loom have been through using the frames of furniture, to create woven furniture. Rather than choosing to create a fabric on a floor loom and reupholstering the the furniture, I chose to use the frames of furniture as the loom. Within this piece the frame of the two chairs acted as the loom.
